Muriel Spark Walking Tour

The JGTrust Alumni team have put together a planned route for a ‘Muriel Spark Walking tour’. The author, Muriel Spark is one of the most famous JGHS alumni. The route takes in some of the Edinburgh locations that were important to Muriel Spark when she was growing up in the Bruntsfield area of the city. It includes a few of the key locations used in the film adaptaton of ‘The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie’, one of Muriel Spark’s most famous books. The leisurely walk takes about 2.5 hours and is mostly flat. There are the usual Edinburgh gradients, and a few steps that can be worked around.
We begin at Morningside Library at 10.30 am and finish in Princes Street at about 12.30 pm. This fundraising event is open to JGHS alumni and friends, and anyone interested in Muriel Spark. We are raising funds to support the work of the James Gillespie’s Trust and invite minimum donations of £10 per person. Places are limited to a maximum of 12 for each walking tour. The date for the next walking tour is Saturday 6 September. If you are interested please contact the Alumni team for further details and information. Thank you. amd0YWx1bW5pIHwgZ21haWwgISBjb20=
