We’re excited to welcome our rising 3rd and 5th grade students and families for a special evening of preparation and connection as they transition into new stages of their elementary journey.
3rd Grade Orientation: This orientation is designed to help students and families get acclimated to the 3rd grade hallway, meet their new teachers and Dean, and learn about classroom expectations. You’ll receive important information about North Carolina’s Read to Achieve Law and get an early look at the End-of-Grade (EOG) assessment that students and teachers will be preparing for throughout the year.
5th Grade Orientation: As students prepare for their final year of elementary school, this orientation will help rising 5th graders and their families adjust to the transition from one teacher to three. You'll get an overview of departmentalized instruction and how this structure helps build readiness for middle school success.
