This new exhibition explores 200 years of changing fashion, labor, and identity through footwear. Featuring more than 25 original pairs of shoes—from early 19th-century wedding slippers to 1980s patriotic sneakers—visitors will discover rare examples of historic shoemaking, style trends, and stories tied to each pair. Highlights include rhinestone-studded flapper shoes, Italian patent leather pumps, Parisian embroidered silk heels, and custom-designed footwear from Fifth Avenue’s golden age.
Included with general admissions. Meet the curator from 1–3 PM.
