Spend some time at Gammelgården Museum's annual world music festival doing hands-on art activities. These projects are free and for people of all ages.
Make a Greeting Card: Create a Dalahäst (Dala horse) greeting card with COMPAS Teaching Artist Marie Olofsdotter, a Swedish-born artist and poet –– On the second floor of the Welcome House (the big red building) from 10:00-12:00.
Screenprinting: Create a screen-printed poster reflecting Swedish and Mexican cultures with Jessica Lopez Lyman of La Luchadora –– Museum Grounds (Between Immigrant House and Old Church) from 10:00-2:00.
In addition to these projects, enjoy live music and dance performances by Swedish, Nordic, and Mexican groups; self-guided tours of the museum's historic buildings; exhibits reflecting Swedish and Mexican history and culture; food trucks; and an artists and crafters vendor fair.
