** Pre-registration is required for this event**
Join Seven Islands Ranger Staff during National Catfish Month for a night of catfishing, s'mores, and stargazing! You’ll be meeting park staff by the Seven Islands boat ramp where there will be multiple rods set up for catfishing, where we will hopefully catch one for everyone to see! We’ll learn all about these weird and incredibly species and the exceptional ecosystem that they inhabit while having a special night experience at the park. It is not necessary to purchase a fishing license if you would like to just watch, stargaze, and eat s’mores, but if you would like to make a cast yourself a fishing license is necessary and those can be obtain through TWRA at the link below. Come observe how catfishing works to hopefully see one and have fun evening at the park!
All equipment will be provided, just bring water, blankets/chairs, and other snacks and drinks if you’d like. (No alcoholic beverages).
Meet at the Seven Islands Boat Ramp and we’ll be staying around that area. This program is for all ages but all children must be accompanied by an adult.
