With most students and teaching staff headed back to school, we are celebrating the unofficial end of the summer and start of the new school year. This is a non-ticketed event that will be fun for the whole family.
Winery is open 12-6pm, Papa's Chicken and Ribs and Castle Pop Kettle Corn will be serving up great food and popcorn to enjoy throughout the day.
The Laymen Band will be playing from 2-5pm.
Risen from the cold, dead, dreggs of regional super-groups; The Booby Traps, Back Before Dawn, and TJHS Marching Band, this band of brothers wants to rock more than Dee Snider! The Laymen is a rock n' roll power trio, gigging in the DMV (Frederick is home base, but we get around). Matt Eden fronts the band on guitar and vox. Jesse MacNett rumbles along on the bass, and adds spicy harmonies to the mix. Rob Bryan is the man behind the kit, bringing the thunder!
With a wealth of varied experiences and influences, these guys will fill your earholes with just about all you can handle. Come see The Laymen, and you're absolutely guaranteed to get a bucket full of the rock radio classics you grew up loving!
