Books in Translation: Kailyn McCord, Carol Bensimon & Jon Cho-Polizzi

Gallery Bookshop welcomes authors Carol Bensimon, Jon Cho-Polizzi, and writer/educator Kailyn McCord for a lively conversation about books in translation.
Carol Bensimon is the author of five novels, one of which has been translated into English. Carol was also selected in 2012 as one of 20 Best of Young Brazilian Writers by Granta Magazine.
Jon Cho-Polizzi has translated numerous works including Djinns by Fatma Aydemir and Ada's Room by Sharon Dodua Otoo. Jon is a Fort Bragg High School graduate and works as an assistant Professor of German at the University of Michigan. He splits his time between Northern California, Ann Arbor, and Berlin.
Kailyn McCord teaches writing at Mendocino College. Her work has appeared in several publications, including Alta Journal, New York Magazine, Pleiades. Kailyn is also on the board of the Writers of the Mendocino Coast, a branch of the California Writers Club.
