Encountering God for Single People

£60 includes refreshments and a two-course home cooked meal
A quiet day for those who are on their own, for whatever reason – unmarried, widowed, divorced, separated.
Focus: for people to encounter God and to see that their identity is not dependent on their marital status; that each one is precious in God’s sight; looking to Him, not to ourselves. Knowing that He has good plans for us, but first and foremost we need to seek Him and put Him first.
• Thinking about the special nature and high calling of singleness, even for a season: 1 Corinthians 7:32-35.
• Thinking about how we define ourselves: by relationships with others (especially romantic) or by our relationship with Jesus? Encouraging thought around that.
• Acceptance of our current season, and the joy to be found within it. What might God be doing in us at this time? Encouraging exploration of this/going deeper with God.
