July 2025 Bird Survey - Caulfield Racecourse

Here are the details for the next monthly bird survey at Caulfield Racecourse! We are gathering monthly data to understand the diversity of bird life at this very unique Glen Eira location.
Bird surveys at the racecourse will normally be the last weekend of the month, either Saturday or Sunday, depending on other events at the venue. This month will be on Sunday 27th at 9.00am.
Meet at the public BBQ area close to the main lake.
The areas around the lakes and surrounding grassland will be surveyed with the total survey time approximately 2 hrs.
Please dress appropriately for the weather conditions.
The aim of these surveys is to gain a greater understanding of the birds that live at the racecourse and to track changes in these bird populations over time as their habitat changes and develops.
It would be fabulous to be joined by some fellow bird watchers to help with the count. Everyone is welcome!
