Save the Date – Sept. 24 – J.D. Ford to Headline Annual Dinner
We’re thrilled to announce State Senator J.D. Ford will headline our annual Branigin-McNutt fundraising dinner on Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2025.
Elected in 2018, Ford represents Indiana Senate District 29, which encompasses portions of Carmel, Indianapolis and Zionsville. His Marion County communities include portions of Pike and Wayne Township. As of July 10, Ford is serving on 13 different study committees, commissions and boards this interim.
“From child services and education to artificial intelligence and public health, these conversations are where policy takes shape before session begins,” said Ford. “I'm committed to showing up, asking tough questions and keeping Hoosiers at the center of every discussion. Let’s get to work.”
He is the first member of the LGBTQ+ community elected to the Indiana General Assembly, and he’s earned numerous awards including 2023 Stonewall Champion, the 2022 Friend of Public Education Award from the Indiana State Teachers Association, the 2020 Advocate of School Social Work from the Indiana School Social Work Association, and the IN Friends Committee on Legislation Award.
We’re also very excited to share a change in venue! The Sycamore at Mallow Run will host our dinner in their gorgeous Homestead Room. Mallow Run aligns closely with our Democratic values and offers a larger variety of delicious meal options, especially for our vegan and gluten-free friends.
