On August 15, 2025, Narrm-based six piece Mini Waters will finally release their debut album Thanks for Everything through brand new local label Kettle of Fish Records.
Featuring nine songs of ambitious indie-folk and arty psych-rock, Thanks for Everything takes Mitchell Rubly’s comforting songwriting and warm-as-toast vocals and pairs it with a band of local heavyweights — featuring members of Bumpy’s band, Quality Used Cars, Aunty Blue and Squid Nebula — who saturate everything in sunny vocal harmonies, washes of pedal steel and hypnotic nylon-string guitar.
To celebrate the occasion, on September 13, Mini Waters will launch their debut body of work on Shotkickers’ illustrious stage, with support from Australiana garage royalty Skink Tank, and Think About You.
Skink Tank describe themselves as three good mates who make honest, rough and ready rock & roll. The trio mix punch, jangle, and earnest lyricism to create songs that pass the campfire singalong test with flying colours.
Think About You catapulted into the local music scene in 2021, sporting a sound that STEW Magazine calls a “unique blend of Celtic folk and Australian garage punk”, evocative of The Goon Sax, intertwined with the wild, runaway instrumentation of Dirty Three.
