Heathland Wildlife and Migrating Birds including Osprey Guided Walk

Step into one of the UK’s most unique ecosystems with a guided walk through RSPB Arne nature reserve. This late summer, we’ll be on the lookout for migrating birds, including the spectacular Osprey.
Our walk will take you through the rare lowland heathland that makes Arne so special, where our guides will help you spot some of the reserve’s iconic heathland birds, like the Dartford Warbler and Stonechat, along with a variety of other wildlife.
Along the way, you’ll also be treated to stunning views over the Middlebere Channel, part of Poole Harbour – the perfect vantage point for observing Ospreys fishing and soaring high above. During August and September, these incredible birds pass through Arne as part of their migration route, with Poole Harbour providing them a safe and nourishing stop, thanks to the Birds of Poole Harbour (BOPH) translocation project.
