A local heroine, this account of her life reveals that Lady Dorothie was more than a plaster saint, she was a fully rounded woman, by turns determined, courageous, amusing and acerbic.

Christine M Cluley is an award-winning author on the history of Warwickshire and its people. She has liaised closely with Lady Dorothie’s family in the creation of this book, making extensive use of the family archive in the County Record Office.
