Kate Hamill's adaptation of the classic tale Pride and Prejudice captures the humor and wit of Elizabeth Bennet as she navigates societal pressures and expectations surrounding marriage, while trying to avoid a loveless match. Despite initial judgments of the aloof Mr. Darcy, Elizabeth discovers that first impressions can be deceiving. Vibrant with modern sensibilities, this adaptation features a zany portrayal of the Bennet family and the complexities of both love and prejudice. Hamill's play combines the charm of Austen's original story with a bold, contemporary flair, full of laughter, eccentric characters, and heartfelt fun.
