Morning: PRIVATE LESSONS with Rachel….
Rachel has two private lesson slots of 50 minutes each, at 9 am and 10 am. Cost per lesson is $65 to be paid to Rachel directly. Call or text Evie at 718.753.7947 to reserve a time!
Workshop I: 11:00 - 12;30 Workshop I. Come early to tune-up and greet friends old and new!!!
REELS OF THE SCOTTISH HIGHLANDS AND ISLANDS
Join Rachel as she shares two reels from one of the largest collections of traditional Scottish Highland dance music, the Patrick MacDonald Collection (1784). Whether you're a beginner or an experienced player, you'll expand your repertoire with rich, timeless tunes! This class will include some left hand accompaniment ideas for creating simple, but effective arrangements.
Melodies will be taught by ear with sheet music provided at the end of class.
12:30. LUNCH in the COW- FÉ
Bring light fare to share! (Salads, dips…).
There are cool beverages and frozen desserts in the Cow-fé available for purchase and complementary hot and cold spring water.
1:30 - 3:00 Workshop II: ACCOMPANIMENT TOOLBOX
Want to spice up your left hand accompaniment? Unlock sounds and harmonic colors that will transform basic chords into effortless accompaniments. Rachel will guide you through different patterns and textures that any player can apply to their favorite tunes!
