Are you interested in joining a community concert band but want to see what it is like?
Come along to one of our open rehearsals. You can bring your instrument and sit in with the band, or sit to the side and observe if you prefer. No need to book, just turn up.
All ages welcome, but children under 14 should be accompanied by a parent.

Development Band
Monday 15th September 2025, 5.30-6.30pm
Our band for beginners (AMEB grades 0-1).
If you are just starting out, or feel like you need to get back to basics, this band is for you. MD: Nicole Melton
Barkly Street Concert Band
Monday 15th September 2025, 7.00 - 8.30pm
Our fun and social band for players who
are competent at reading music but may
be still honing their playing skills (AMEB 2-4). This band is also great for musicians trying a second instrument or wanting to get back into playing but cannot commit to the practice required for the Memorial Band. MD: Amanda Holley
Ballarat Memorial Concert Band
Wednesday 17th September 2025, 7.00 – 9.00pm
Our flagship band currently competing in B Grade at State and National Championships. This band is for players who aspire to a higher level of playing and more challenging repertoire (AMEB 4+). MD: Andrew Power
