Green Bay Mike & Key Club Fox Hunt!

Location: Green Bay Metropolitan
On August 17th 2025 the Green Bay Mike &Key Club will be hosting a Fox Hunt. We will be hunting the fox on 147.555 simplex. The Fox will be Scott KD9LHY. They will he hiding somewhere in the Green Bay Metropolitan area and will be using an HT to transmit. It may be necessary to drive around the area to acquire their signal. Hounds are welcome to start the hunt from anywhere although it may be advantageous to start somewhere central or circle the area using I43, I41, and HWY 172 in order to find their signal and begin tracking.
All are welcome to play. Just tune your radio to 147.555 simplex at 5:30pm and begin tracking Scott's transmissions. The first to find the fox will have the option to be fox the following hunt.
After the hunt we hang out and discuss the event and share tips and tricks about tracking RF signals, antennas, gear, etc.
This event is a great way to advance your tracking skills that can be used for things like finding spurious signals around your area and many other ham related things. It's always a great time and lots of fun!
