Imagine winning 4.5 million dollars!

Then forget about it and buy a ticket to this instead. You might hit the JACKPOT!

Maximum Wage harnesses song-writer Charlotte Crone’s playful rage at the general current State of It with evocative, elevator-punk bangers about friendship, jobs and not-jobs, dogs, wedding rants and the environmental decline of the Waitaha Canterbury plains. It’s angry, but in a fun way. It’s Blondie, but with a brunette and a rural kiwi accent. It’s Yeah Yeah Yeahs, but more like Nah Nah Nahs.

At their debut gig in Ōtautahi’s right-of-passage live music venue Darkroom, you’ll find Charlotte Crone on vocals and bass, Josh Braden on guitar and Dominic McGurk on drums.
