π΅π±πΏJoin us for the beloved, nearly 50-year-old tradition of the Matka Boska Zelma Mass on August 14th at 7:00 PM at St. Isidore the Laborer Church Grand Rapids (628 Diamond NE).πΏπ΅π±
Monsignor Edward Hankiewicz will lead this beautiful service. For those unfamiliar, "Matka Boska" roughly translates to "Our Lady of Herbs" or "Our Lady of Greens." The Mass begins with a special procession where flowers and herbs are placed at the altar to be blessed. You'll also enjoy traditional Polish hymns throughout the service.
Following the Mass, there will be a procession to the courtyard for the crowning of the Blessed Virgin Mary statue, concluding with refreshments and fellowship in the church hall.
