Kettlebell fundamentals for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
Fundraising Workshop for Rise Community Jiu Jitsu @StrengthLab
We're hosting a special strength & conditioning workshop at StrengthLab in Bristol – focused on how kettlebell training can support your development on the mat. All money raised will support Rise Community Jiu Jitsu, a Bristol based non-profit.
Rise run accessible Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu programmes that help disadvantaged young people improve their physical and mental health. They started in 2024 and have so far worked with over 400 young people across Bristol and London, bringing BJJ to those who can most benefit.
This fundraising workshop will be led by David Szego, a StrongFirst Certified Team Leader Instructor under Pavel Tsatsuline. David brings decades of experience in strength training and coaching, and has taught everyone from everyday athletes to elite performers around Europe.
This is not a bootcamp. It’s a focused, technical hands-on workshop designed to help you:
✅ Learn safe, effective kettlebell technique
✅ Learn the “skills of strength” that will make you measurably stronger within minutes on or off the matts
✅ Learn how to develop powerful hips, grip, and core strength
✅ Improve mobility and resilience for the long haul
✅ Learn breathing and relaxation techniques to recover faster between rolls
Whether you’re new to strength work or already training, you’ll leave with practical tools you can use right away.
🗓️ Saturday, 13 September 2025, 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM
📍 StrengthLab, Bristol
🎟️ Donation-based – all proceeds go to support Rise Community BJJ and the young people they work with.
Suggested donation: £40
All levels welcome. Limited spaces available.
