Auditions for Instant Austen: Jane Austen at Warp Speed

We are thrilled to announce auditions for our Fall 2025 production: Instant Austen: Jane Austen at Warp Speed by Treanor Baring

This is an Austen you’ve never seen—playful and fast-paced. It is a high-energy journey
through romance, wit, and charm that offers a lively, modern twist on Austen’s six timeless
classics.

Audition Date: Saturday, 8/2/2025 Time: 1 PM to 5 PM
Community Presbyterian Church of Ben Avon
7501 Church Ave, Pittsburgh (Ben Avon), PA. 15202

Players needed: 4 Women ages 25-45
4 Men ages 25-50

Each actor will have multiple roles as this is a vignette play that covers all of Austen’s
work.
No prior knowledge of Jane Austen’s novels necessary.
Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. Monologues not required. No video
auditions.
Headshots and resumes accepted but not required. Please bring your list of conflict
dates.

Show dates: 10/17-18-19 and 10/24-25. Tech week: 10/12-10/16.

Evening rehearsals will start in mid-August and run 2-3 times/week up to opening night.
