We Color Welcome

Advocacy doesn’t have to be complicated—or loud—to be powerful. Sometimes it looks like gathering around a table with markers and crayons. Sometimes it looks like coloring hope into the margins and mailing it to the people in power. God’s people have always used creativity to tell the truth, lament injustice, and imagine a better world. From the prophets’ poetry to Jesus’ parables, the work of shaping hearts and systems often begins with beauty, with color, story, and sacred imagination. We'll turn creativity into courage. We will gather as a community and color with purpose. Together, we'll reflect on stories of migration, explore what Scripture says about welcome, and send our completed pages to elected officials as a call to justice and compassion. As we color, we reflect. As we create, we remember the image of God in every person. As we send, we act—declaring that every immigrant is worthy of dignity, safety, and welcome. This is sacred work. And yes—it can also be fun. Because in a world of noise, beauty can still speak. And in a culture of fear, welcome is still a radical act of faith. Let’s color for justice. Let’s color for love. Let’s choose welcome together. We'll provide the materials. You bring the love!
