✍️ NGV ART SCHOOL | FOUR-WEEK COURSE – OBSERVATIONAL DRAWING
✍️ Have you always wanted to learn to draw? Or are you looking to further develop your drawing skills?
Spend Saturday mornings in the NGV galleries and learning studios in this four week technical course guided by artist Lily Mae Martin.
✍️ WHAT IS INVOLVED
This practical course introduces the fundamentals of observational drawing and mark making, taking inspiration from artworks in the NGV Collection.
Across four weeks and with exclusive access to the Gallery before hours, award-winning artist Lily Mae Martin guides participants through engaging activities and exercises to develop drawing skills, providing tailored one-on-one feedback along the way. Through this, participants will build their visual language to create their own unique artworks.
Materials provided. Suitable for all skill levels, no prior experience necessary.
✍️ SESSION TIMES
The course will take place weekly on Saturday mornings from 4 – 25 October, with sessions running from 9.30am–11.30am.
Includes tea and coffee on arrival from 9am in the NGV Members Lounge and exclusive access to the Gallery before it opens to the public at 10am.
