Led by NYC/Chapel Hill drummer-composer Jake Richter, this four-piece modern jazz ensemble blends adventurous composition with dynamic improvisation. Born out of Richter’s monthly residency at The 55 Bar (NYC) in 2021, the group has since toured nationally and earned praise for its debut album Listen to the Birds. Mixing tight band chemistry with deep rhythmic exploration, the Quartet delivers music that’s both cerebral and soulful, perfect for late-night grooves or thoughtful listening sessions.
