Author Presentation at the Samoset Resort Followed by The Strand Screening

Gearing up for Maine Lobster Festival Week, author/screenwriter K. Stephens will be in the Samoset Lobby on Friday, August 1 at 1 p.m. giving a presentation, "From Lobster Traps to Red Carpets: How a Maine Novel Became an Award-Winning Feature Film." This entertaining half-hour powerpoint presentation details the journey of how the book got discovered and optioned, how pre-production works, and the iconic locations where production filmed in Midcoast Maine, (including the Samoset Resort and the Maine Lobster Festival). Then go watch the movie at The Strand Theatre in Rockland (multiple matinees July 31-August 3) On Sunday's matinee (Aug 2) at 4 p.m., following the screening there will be a Q&A with author K. Stephens and local members of the production team. Stephens will also do a book signing.
