Eine choreografische Studie von Clémentine Deluy & Nicola Mascia // Working process Studio-Präsentation

Seit ihrem gemeinsamen Auftritt in der Produktion "noBody" von Sasha Waltz & Guests (2001) teilen Clémentine Deluy und Nicola Mascia international Bühnen und künstlerische Praktiken.

Nach der erfolgreichen Entwicklung ihres gemeinsamen zeitgenössischen Tanz-Intensivprogramms "Tech 2 – Lab 1" arbeiten sie nun an einer gemeinsamen choreografischen Studie. Dabei begeben sie sich auf eine Entdeckungsreise, bei der sie die Konventionen des klassischen fe/male Duettformats zwischen Frau und Mann infrage stellen.

Ein androgyner Ansatz, der sich vom restriktiven binären Blick und eingeschränkter Wahrnehmung befreit und die traditionellen stereotypen Erwartungen an Genderrollen, performatives Verhalten und physischen Ausdruck transzendiert.

A choreographic study by Clémentine Deluy & Nicola Mascia // Working process studio presentation

Starting to perform together in 2001 in the Sasha Waltz & Guests production noBody, Clémentine Deluy and Nicola Mascia have been internationally sharing stages and artistic practices ever since.

After successfully creating their collaborative contemporary dance intensive program Tech 2 – Lab 1, the two are now doing a studio research for a joint choreographic study. They embark on an exploration, challenging the conventions of the classical fe/male duet format.

An androgynous approach, breaking free from the restrictive binary gaze and perception, transcending the traditional stereotypical expectation of gender roles, performative behaviour and physical representation.
