Basket Coiling/Weaving Workshop

Studio owner/artist, Cate Wilkins, will instruct this workshop, teaching the Native American art/skill of coiling/weaving, using pine straw. Unlike our previous basket weaving workshops, you will get to learn to start your basket from the base! We will coil the floor of your basket together, and continue upward to form the walls. Finally, you will learn to finish off the top coil to complete your beautiful basket, and take home all the skills needed to make one by yourself at home. We will have various colors of coiling straw to choose from, making each piece a one of a kind, handcrafted work of art! Cost is $45 per person and includes everything needed to complete a handmade basket. Call 843-756-0381 to register. Pre-registration is required. There are 14 available spots.
