To mark the 101st Old Home Day, the Braintree Historical Society invites any and all to join them on Sunday, August 3, for a 1:30 pm community hymn sing, followed at 2:00pm by an ecumenical service by Theresa Lever and special musical numbers by Beth Telford and Jim Green.

This year the service will be followed by a short talk by Polly Seddon Allen, entitled, Here the Feathery Tops of Green Hills Meet the Sky the Whole Circumference Around:
The Architectural and Cultural Development of the Braintree Hill Meetinghouse.

Ms. Allen has conducted extensive research, digging into the Historical Society archives, documenting the history and architectural features of the Meetinghouse as part of a successful nomination to the National Register of Historic Places.

Light refreshments in the museum to follow.

All are welcome for what should be a fine day on Braintree Hill. The address of the Meetinghouse is 2756 Braintree Hill Road.
