The award-winning musical Newsies is a fictionalized account of the real-life newsboys' strike of 1899. Set in turn-of-the-century New York City, the story follows Jack Kelly, a charismatic newsboy and leader of a group of teenage newsies. When publishing giants Joseph Pulitzer and William Randolph Hearst raise distribution prices, Jack rallies the newsies to strike for better conditions. Presented in partnership with Music Theatre International.
