Stop 5: Paris 🇫🇷
Free concert
La Madeleine
Tuesday 29th July, 8:00pm
Our fifth and final stop is in one of Paris’ most breathtaking venues, La Madeleine. Completed in 1842, this unique neo-classical building is surrounded on all four sides by 52 Corinthian columns, akin to what one might see on Greek temples, each 20m high. Inside, the church is lavishly decorated, with a myriad of stunning frescoes, sculptures, and mosaics by famous artists such as François Rude and Carlo Marochetti. The famous Grande Orgue has been played by like likes of Saint-Saëns, Dubois, and Fauré. It is truly a presitgious venue, and a fantastic place to conclude our Tour.
This programme reprises many of the works in our Toulouse concert, providing a massive range of our most loved sacred choral music from the 16th century to present day.
This concert is free – no tickets are required. There will be a retiring collection.
