Garrison Fort Ligonier with the 42nd Royal Highland Regiment of Foote / Captain Thomas Graham's Company! From the taking of Fort Duquesne during the Forbes Campaign of 1758, to the Battle of Bushy Run and the relief of Fort Pitt during Pontiac’s War of 1763, the 42nd Regiment of Foot-- another other Highlander regiments-- were a crucial part of not only the story of Fort Ligonier, but the overall history of the French and Indian War.
History Alive! at Fort Ligonier is an engaging experience for visitors to learn more about the daily life of a frontier military outpost in North America during the 18th century. Through daily programming depicting typical activities of a military site such as soldiering, manual labor, tailoring, laundry, and cooking, and special weekend demonstrations from 18th century artisans, History Alive! portrays the people who fought and lived at Fort Ligonier during the Forbes Campaign of 1758
