Spoiler alert: we have documents, artefacts and maps to show you which are very rarely seen and have been curated just for one day. We will also take a peak inside the archive room!
Please join Lorna Colvin-MacleanColvin-MacLean from Haddington’s History Society and RuthFyfe, Archivist at the John Gray Centretre as we discuss and look ever so closely at the documents we’ve unearthed from deep in the archives.
After delving into the hidden archives, we’ll take a walk around Haddington to look at some examples of its Georgian buildings and mansions and as an extra special treat we will have access to Haddington’s Townhouse.
This tour will appeal to new and life-long residents of Haddington who are interested in Haddington’s amazing history and architecture.
