DIVE INTO MARITIME HISTORY!

Come and see the Nautical Archaeology Society's display at the Sandwich Festival and join in the journey of discovery. We're bringing hands-on history, and you're invited to explore, play, and discover.

- Meet real maritime archaeologists - ask us anything about shipwrecks, underwater discoveries, and life at sea in the past!
- Help us measure our mock shipwreck and pretend to be an archaeologist—great fun for all ages!
- Get up close with genuine items recovered legally from historic shipwrecks.
- Discover Sandwich Bay's hidden past - learn about our local heritage project and how you can get involved—no experience needed!
- Lots of activities for kids including drawing and puzzles.

Bring your curiosity and imagination—we’ll provide the discoveries!

And if you really want to experience maritime archaeology - join us for our first ever evening low-tide walk. Saturday 23rd August at 7pm. Meet at the beach carpark south of Princes Golf Course CT13 9QB. Tolls required to access by car. It's free to walk from outside of Sandwich Bay Estate.
