Next Stop Public Reading

Next Stop is a rhythm-fueled ride through a city’s veins—its bus routes—where lives intersect like traffic and no one stays in their lane. Passengers from every walk of life board the same bus, each carrying invisible weight: histories, hopes, disabilities, privilege, survival. At the center is an actor-turned-writer watching it all unfold, documenting each moment but hesitating to intervene. As tensions rise and stories collide, the question becomes impossible to ignore: What happens when witnessing isn’t enough? With a soundscape that pulses like pavement under tires, Next Stop drives into the heart of systemic racism, inequity, and the fragile line between ability and disability. It is a musical meditation on movement—of people, of power, of progress—and the cost of staying still.
