Outdoor enthusiasts of all ages interested in learning the basics of hunting from treestands are encouraged to attend a free class provided by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Wildlife on Tuesday, August 24th, 2025, from 2pm to 5 pm
Instructors will cover topics including safety, equipment, and hunting techniques from an elevated platform. All equipment will be provided. The class is free, but registration is required.
Attendees should meet at the Spring Valley Shooting Range and Education Center at 3570 Houston Rd, Waynesville, OH 45068. There will be both an indoor and outdoor portion of the class. The outdoor portion of the course will be weather dependent. Please dress accordingly. Participants should be prepared to be outdoors, please wear closed-toe shoes.
