Discovery day: come and explore the garden!

Our gates are open for everyone this spring - it’s all about community, learning, fun and connection at this free event. Held on the lands of the Peek Whurrong people, explore the sprawling site for a great day out with friends and family.

Beginning with an Acknowledgement of Country, followed by live music featuring local musicians there will be lots to see on the six acres of site. Check out the progress on the second stage of the quarry amphitheatre project with the rainforest gully work underway and the ideas to better link the community and Miura Friendship Garden.

There are plenty of free activities for the family, including meeting the chooks and tastings from the bush food garden. We’ll have fresh produce, handmade preserves and plants for sale on the day. A sizzling BBQ with meat and vegetarian options will look after healthy appetites.

Pick up a map to explore including the quarry amphitheatre, herb garden, chooks, composting, worm farm and frog pond.

We're also looking for some people to help volunteer on the day, bump in, for two-hour shifts and bump out. Volunteers get a free lunch, contact Z3JvdyB8IHdjZzMyODAgISBvcmcgISBhdQ== if you're interested.

Please note we will be taking event photography and videography of the crowd, if you don't want to be included let one of our volunteers know.
