"Wait...What was I saying?": A hands-on, educational workshop about Kids with ADHD FOR Parents

Come join us for a fun, informative, hands-on, holistic approach designed for Parents/Teachers and those who work with kids to understand your kid's brain, nervous systems and behaviour. We will delve into the neuroscience of the brain, ADHD, and give strategies, hands-on approaches and information to ultimately understand: why does your kid think, do or behave the way that they do. We will have food, drinks, workbooks, presentations and a relaxing atmosphere provided by Be Different Studio.

About the Presenters:

Lauren Albans:

A UK-born, Aotearoa-based Integrative Somatic Facilitator with over 560 hours of training in trauma-informed somatic practices, nervous system regulation, and creative embodiment. Her work blends body-based healing with emotional regulation tools, helping individuals—especially neurodivergent children and their families—reconnect to their unique rhythms, build self-trust, and come home to themselves. She offers practical, accessible support for understanding stimming, stress behaviours, and how to step away from pressure-based norms to celebrate neurodiversity with compassion and presence.

Dr. Reid Midanik:

A Canadian chiropractor who studied the body in great depth completing a first degree in Kinesiology and Physical Education in Canada and then moving over to continue to study chiropractic from the world-renowned New Zealand College of Chiropractic. Having ADHD myself, being diagnosed as a kid in Canada, he has hands on experience of what its like going through the schooling system and creating his own chiropractic clinic. He has a keen interest in working with kids who have ADHD and how their nervous systems can be regulated through neurologically based chiropractic care and helping parents understand the brain and nervous systems.

We have decided to come together, collaborate and create a workshop that not only gives you the information, but brings you the hands on methods and strategies, and ability to practice and learn these.

RSVP is a must in the link. A donation of $50 to cover costs of food/nibbles, workbooks, presentation time and premises. Please book online through the link to reserve your space. Only a limited number of spaces available.
