Tamás Dancsházy-Nagy, Fencing Master, Captain of the National Team, Head Coach of the Olympic Gold Medalist Hungarian Men's Epee National Team

You will have a unique opportunity in Brantford to meet Tamás, who will prepare a presentation with many photos about the team’s work, focusing on the Olympics. He will talk about his experiences and future plans, also he is ready to answer any question during his interactive presentation.

Tamás started fencing in Pécs, later at BVSC, where he became a novice coach. From the mid2000s, he became the Head Coach of the Junior National Team at the Fencing Department of Budapest Honvéd Sports Club, where he won individual and team World Championship titles. He participated as an assistant coach in the fencers' preparation for Beijing Olympic Games. As the Head Coach of the National Epee National Team, Tamás DancsházyNagy successfully prepared and led the Men's Epee National Team, which won a Gold Medal for Hungary at the 2024 Summer Olympics ending a more than half a century of unsuccessful attempts. He is currently working with the National Epee National Team to ensure that TEAM HUNGARY successfully competes in world championships and defends its Olympic title at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games.
