The Poetry Bus Stops in New Ulm

THE POETRY BUS is visiting New Ulm on Thursday, August 7th! Join them at the New Ulm Farmers’ Market in the afternoon for poetry-on-demand or here at the New Ulm Library at 6:30 pm. On the bus will be Michael Kleber-Diggs (michaelkleberdiggs.com), Sara Dovre Wudali (saradovrewudali.com), Su Love (sulove.org) and Athena Kildegaard (athenakildegaard.com), four poets who are friends and admirers of one another’s poetry, poetics, and creative powers. The Poetry Bus will be sharing readings, write poems on demand, and proselytize about the value of poetry. Poetry is their vehicle for communicating the sorrow and the sweet of ordinary lives.

Athena Kildegaard is a fiscal year 2025 recipient of a Creative Individuals grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board. This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
