Mini Worlds: Build Your Own Diorama
Advertisement
Join us for a hands-on introduction to the art of miniature making! Over two sessions, you'll create a 3D diorama using foam, natural textures, artificial grass, cardboard or plastic for a small structure, and even handmade trees from wire. Learn the basics of scale modeling, terrain shaping, and material layering to bring your own tiny scene to life—think of it as painting, but in three dimensions. All materials are provided, including a foam base to build on.
This program will meet on Tuesday, August 19th, and Tuesday, September 16th in the Activity Room on the lower level of the Main Library. Both sessions will run from 5:30 - 6:45 pm. We encourage you to attend both sessions, as your creation will need time to dry and develop between meetings. Some take-home supplies will also be available so you can keep crafting between sessions.
No experience necessary—just bring your creativity!
