B2 part 1 - 10 September until 3 December 2025 - Wednesday - 17:30-19:30

Join our B2 part 1 Dutch course when you can already use your Dutch quite a bit, but want to expand your conversation topics and use more elaborate sentence structures. This course is intended for students who finished the B1 courses. It’s also a perfect preparation for the Staatsexamen II.

We make sure to have an enjoyable mix of speaking activities, vocabulary building, improving listening skills and grammar. Writing exercises are usually homework. You can send them to the teacher for correction and we also discuss them in class.

What do I learn in this course?

After completing this course, you know how to use:
- conjunctions (hoewel, nadat, terwijl, hoewel)
- signalling words (zo, anders, daarom)
- relative subclauses (het boek dat, de man die, de weg waar)
- the use of er
- repetition of perfectum, imperfectum and pluscuamperfectum

After this course, you’re able to discuss and use vocabulary of the following topics:

- interesting ways to spend your holidays, like backpacking, camping or travelling with your parents

- tourism trends
- traffic and transportation
- nature and landscapes
- food trends and healthy eating

After this course, you’re able to:
- give advice about trips, projects or purchases
- discuss the pros and cons of a plan or proposal
- state your preference
- make comparisons
- talk about charts and graphs
