π§ July 28 Topic: Cultivating a Magnanimous Spirit π§
How can we cultivate a magnanimous attitude? What can we do to keep it in the face of extraneous events in our lives?
βThe Meditation and Support Circle is a new initiative being piloted by a few members of Kelowna Unitarians. It is peer-led and rooted in compassion, inclusivity and with disability at the forefront. Inspired by (though not limited to) Buddhist practice and meditation, this group seeks to help people in their daily lives through disability, chronic illness, mental health struggle or simply just stress management.
We invite you to join us at 7:00 PM on Monday for our next Meditation and Support Circle. It will begin with a short talk to set the tone, will be followed up with a group meditation and finally a discussion group as long as time allows.
Feel free to bring a cushion for meditation, however chairs will be available for those who need them or those who do not bring cushions. In the spirit of community, please consider bringing a snack to share or contributing to tea service.
