Is your dog friendly and well-mannered, except when on a leash? Do they pull, bark, jump for joy, or get overly excited when people or other animals are nearby?

If this sounds familiar, join us on Saturday, August 23, for a hands-on leash skills workshop with Leslie Hudson, CPDT, certified professional dog trainer and owner of Train Loyal Companions, LLC. This workshop is designed for dogs who have some basic training but struggle with leash manners and impulse control in real-world environments.

In this workshop, you’ll:

βœ… Learn how dogs think, communicate, and respond to stimuli
βœ… Explore the emotional roots of excited behavior and barrier frustration
βœ… Receive hands-on guidance using tools such as clickers, treats, gentle leaders, calming touch, leashes, and harnesses
βœ… Discover how to manage, modify, and train using positive reinforcement techniques
βœ… Practice leash handling strategies to reduce pulling and frustration on both ends of the leash

Whether your dog lunges toward other dogs or can’t stop pulling toward people, this workshop will help you build better communication and control through kind, reward-based training.

⚠️ Please note: This workshop is not suitable for dogs with a history of aggression or biting.
