* This event has two showtimes on the same day. The 8:00PM performance will be followed by an Artist Talkback.**
Come join Prismatic at the Bus Stop Theatre to see "Sorry For Your Loss" by international Maōri (New Zealand) artist in Halifax!
A heartfelt and hilarious story about growing up on the mean streets of Aotearoa (New Zealand) with a sometimes-there-mostly-not Dad. Cian Parker shares her story about reclaiming her heritage when she is unexpectedly introduced to a father and a family she didn’t know existed.
Performing side by side with Cian will be Gaitrie Persaud-Killings, a Tkaronto-based theatremaker whose work bridges the Deaf and hearing communities through the power of physical theatre.
The two artists will be presenting audiences with a new rendition of the play that interweaves Gaitrie’s ASL performance into every beat and movement of the show, the result of a meaningful collaboration between a Deaf artist and a hearing artist.
