Weedies

Weedcatchers (or Weedies) has been running a really long time, it's a great way to get out and push yourself a bit harder than perhaps you might on your own, plus you get to paddle with like minded people and have fun whilst you're at it! (between the burn that is!)

The flotilla departs from the club at 5.30pm with a social paddle down to the first bridge (Avondale) ready for a 5.45pm departure to start the session.

Each session is run by one of our dedicated volunteer coaches (thanks team) and each session will be slightly different depending on who is running it.
It is an interval based session and in order to ensure no-one gets left behind people are set off in waves according to their ability. Then everyone regroups before the next intervals sets off.
Provided you can paddle comfortably for an hour you are welcome to attend.

There is provision to allow for paddlers of all speeds so take the chance to improve your paddling and come along.
If it's your first session, let the coach know so they can keep an eye on you and also if you decide to leave the session before the end let them know so they're not looking for you!

Unlike the beginner sessions you do not need to book a space for this - the more the merrier! Just turn up on the night - Paddle hard and have fun!
