Joanna Wojtkiewicz is a jazz vocalist and arranger currently based in Copenhagen. She completed her Bachelor's degree in Composition and Music Theory at the Academy of Music in Poznań in 2022 and is now pursuing a degree in Jazz Vocal Performance at the Syddansk Musikkonservatorium – Danish National Academy of Music.
In 2024, she was awarded the Grand Prix at the 20th edition of the prestigious Ladies' Jazz Festival in Gdynia. She is currently working on her debut album, which will feature interpretations of classics from the Great American Songbook. For this concert, Joanna will present a special program dedicated to the music of Billie Holiday- one of the most influential voices in jazz history. With her deeply emotional delivery, raw honesty, and timeless phrasing, Holiday has been a major inspiration in Joanna’s journey. By revisiting some of her most iconic songs, Joanna pays tribute not only to Holiday’s legacy but also to the enduring emotional power of her music, bringing a fresh and personal interpretation to these beloved jazz standards.
