ABOUT THE PLAY
Ever wondered what would happen if you took Bram Stoker’s legendary vampire tale and put it into a blender with Mel Brooks, Monty Python, and The 39 Steps? That’s just what happens in this lightning-fast, laugh-out-loud, 90-minute, gender-bending romp. When her sister Mina falls ill with a mysterious disease of the blood, Lucy Westfeldt and her fiancé, Jonathan Harker, enlist the help of famed female vampire hunter Doctor Jean Van Helsing. Their hunt for the dangerous and sexy Count Dracula abounds with clever wordplay and quick-change antics. Five actors play over a dozen roles in this bloodcurdlingly hilarious send-up of the literary classic.
AUDITION DATES
Auditions will be held in 1-hour time blocks on Saturday and Sunday 8/2 and 8/3 from 11 AM to 2 PM. Appointments are strongly encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome. The role of Dracula has already been cast.
AUDITION REQUIREMENTS
Auditions will consist of improv activities and cold reads from the script.

REHEARSALS
Monday through Thursday, 09/15 - 10/09 6:30 - 9:30 PM at The Empty Space, with tech week 10/13 - 10/16 6:30 - 9:30 PM
PERFORMANCES
Performances will be Fridays and Saturdays 10/17 - 10/31 at 8 PM and Thursdays 10/23 & 10/30 at 8 PM with a Sunday matinee on 10/26 at 2 PM. There will be a special Halloween gala on 10/31.
ROLES TO BE CAST
Please refer to the breakdown below. Unless race/ethnicity is specific to the character and listed below, we are actively seeking ALL races and ethnicities for ALL roles. In addition, we strongly encourage gender non-conforming, gender fluid, transgender and non-binary actors to submit for the roles with which they most identify. All ages are playable ages.
All named characters are subject to understudy or swing and may be single, double, triple, or quadruple cast.
