Unleash your inner artist in this monthly program held in the Denver Art Museum galleries, designed for older adults and welcoming for all ages and abilities. Take inspiration from your favorite artworks in the gallery with supportive feedback from artist Anna Kaye. Included with general admission.
Join us in person on the first Tuesday of every month and experience the transformative power of art in a program that has enriched lives for over a decade. Drawing materials are provided.
In "Confluence of Nature," Nancy Hemenway Barton creates large-scale wall reliefs made from hand loomed fabrics that are folded, tucked, and embroidered. Taking inspiration from indigenous weaving communities where she lived and worked, her art reflects a deep connection to the natural world. After viewing the exhibition on Level 6 of the museum's Martin Building, we will take inspiration from her art to create our own collage in the Ruby Workshop in the Creative Hub, located on Level 1 of the Martin Building.
Advance registration is not required.
To request a sign language interpreter or any other accessibility service, please email YWNjZXNzIHwgZGVudmVyYXJ0bXVzZXVtICEgb3Jn at least ten (10) business days in advance of the program. We will make every effort to provide accommodation for requests made outside of that window of time.
