diskJokke is back!
Oslo based label «badabing diskos» kicks of with a massive dancefloor treat from legendary norwegian producer diskjokke, known for his international escapades with the likes of Lindstrøm, Prins Thomas and Bjørn Torske.
As a DJ, diskJokke has played everything from Panoramabar Berlin, Space Ibiza, Liquid Room Tokyo, D-Edge Sao Paulo, Razzmatazz Barcelona, in addition to festivals as Sonar, Big Chill, Dour, CTM and Øya.
In addition to his previous 3 studio albums and long list of club singles, diskJokke has remixed indie acts such as Metronomy, The **, Charlotte Gainsbourg and Foals. He even made a remix of David Lynch and was booked for the opening party of David Lynch´ Silencio Club in Paris.
After a longer journey into the world of mathematics, diskJokke is now back, fully armed with A little TnT and 90s. His wierd melodic and cinematic take on housemusic is well known, and this release definitely states his status as a complex producer of fine dancefloor art.
Backstory / The meta-story so far..
A heart broken, then mended. Repeat. Dreams realised and crushed/ignored. Accomplishing goals and not/forgetting all about, setting new ones whilst learning to appreciate water running under the bridge as a beautiful thing. Approaching spiritual realms, then fading away. Repeat. Feeling political, then not. Listening to the story of own self, narrated by one self, change over time. Accepting doors closing and acknowledging Everything will pass. Except disco. Apparently, resisting the urge to disco is futile. So here we go again.
