Alexandra Douglas Doss has been in the poultry field for over a decade but has been raising birds since she was a child. She started raising parrots and expanded to poultry and game birds in college. She graduated with a Bachelor Science degree in Animal Sciences with a Pre-Vet and Poultry Option in 2009. Her fascination with her first coturnix quail from her avian embryology class led to her owning a farm after college. For over a decade, she has been researching, learning new things, and utilizing her college knowledge on raising animals on her homestead, specializing in quail and emu.
